Attracta Lyndon

Vice President, North America
Dooley Car Rentals

Attracta Lyndon is the vice president, North America of Dooley Car Rentals, the premier car rental company in Ireland. Lyndon launched the U.S. office in 1986 in her family's garage in New Jersey with $1,000, verve and imagination. It is partly due to her venture that Dooley Car Rentals is now one of the largest and most successful Irish car rental companies. With her promotional and marketing savvy, Lyndon played a major role in building the business into a multi-million dollar operation.

Prior to launching the U.S. reservations office for Dooley Car Rentals, Lyndon worked in a variety of sales and marketing positions in Chicago for the Irish Tourist Board and the Bank of Ireland.

Her career began as a flight attendant with Aer Lingus where she happily interacted with thousands of customers traveling throughout Europe.

Over the years, Lyndon has played a leadership role in a variety of business, cultural, and community organizations in the tri-state area. She served as president of the Irish Business Organization of New York for two years (2006 and 2007) and has been a member since 1998.

She is currently an active member of the Ireland-U.S. Council, Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann and the Iselin Ceili and Set Dancing Group.

Lyndon has been awarded the Dreamer of Dreams Award from the Irish Voice for her outstanding spirit of entrepreneurship, and the Arthur Clements Award from the IBO for her outstanding contribution to the organization and for her business acumen. In 1996, she received the Regina Nostra Award from the Diocese of Metuchen for her many years of service.

Lyndon was born in Malahide, Co. Dublin and has lived in the U.S. for over 30 years. She has three grown daughters and one grandson.
