Patrick M. Burke, Ph.D is Vice President, Corporate and Business Development at Myriad Pharmaceutical, Inc. Myriad Pharmaceuticals, (MPI) is a biotechnology company created in July 2009 as a spin-off from Myriad Genetics. MPI is located in Salt Lake City, UT and employs approximately 180 staff, scientists and doctors. The company is developing novel treatments for several cancers including brain, skin and breast cancer. Prior to assuming his responsibilities with MPI, Dr. Burke was a Director of Business Development for the original parent corporation, Myriad Genetics, Inc. (MGI). Dr. Burke is a graduate of Phillips Academy, Andover MA and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Molecular Biology from Revelle College of the  University of California, San Diego. He earned his Ph.D. in Cell Biology from the University of Utah School of Medicine. A second generation Irish American, Burke’s grandparents, Della J. Furey and Patrick J. Burke were born in counties Galway and Mayo. Burke resides in Salt Lake City, Utah, with wife Renee K. Dunne, PhD and daughters: Mikinsley and Linnea.
