Solace House provides free, confidential, one-on-one counseling for people who are in suicidal distress, have made a suicide attempt, engage in self-harm and/or have been bereaved by suicide. The charity also offers family support, group bereavement counseling, and free community awareness workshops and training.

A critical priority for Solace House is the ability to meet community needs and expand our organization’s current counseling hours across our two locations in Long Island City, Queens and Yonkers, New York.

In addition to its upcoming Christmas Gala, Solace House is able to raise funds for its mission partly through its annual Sunrise Run / Walk 5K in the spring, and this year hosted its inaugural Sunset Walk in November.

The holidays can be a particularly hard time for those struggling with their mental health. By supporting Solace House, you will be part of the movement of creating a world without suicide.
