The Dingle community is in shock over the sudden loss of young GAA player Aodhán Ó Conchúir.

Junior Cert student Aodhán Ó Conchúir sustained a fatal head injury while playing a football match.

The 14-year-old was caught in a collision with a fellow team mate from Pobalscoil Chorca Dhuibhne and a number of players from Killarney’s St Brendan’s College.

An ambulance transferred him to University Hospital Kerry and later, Cork University Hospital, where he died from his head injuries.
