Global travel site Enjoy Travel (formerly known as Big 7 Travel) has officially released its annual list of The 50 Best Burgers In Europe, and Bunsen in Dublin has ranked in the top five.

Now in its seventh year, the list combines suggestions from the Enjoy Travel audience with contributions from the editorial team.

Each burger was ranked against a range of criteria, including social media buzz, customer reviews, and the quality of ingredients (think locally sourced produce, premium beef, and creative flavour combinations).

The result is a line-up that highlights both long-standing favourites and fresh new contenders from across Europe.

“Each year we see the creativity and passion behind Europe’s burger scene grow stronger,” said Aleyna Yilmaz, editor at Enjoy Travel.

“From the quality of the beef to inventive toppings and customer favourites, this list celebrates the very best of what Europe has to offer.”

Bunsen, which also has locations in Cork and Belfast, was named the third best burger in Europe.

Enjoy Travel writes: "An iconic burger joint in Dublin, Bunsen Burgers has just two burgers on its menu: hamburgers and cheeseburgers. Nothing fancy, nothing over-the-top, just comfort food at its absolute best. Their toppings are all completely free, and they prove that the simple things in life are the best.
