New York Times releases a new video celebrating vibrant Belfast and how much the city has grown.

Belfast is the focus of the latest video in the New York Times’ travel series ’36 Hours In…’ The video clocks in at just over five minutes and highlights how vibrant the city has become in recent years.

The city has emerged from decades of fear and violence to become the tourism hub of Northern Ireland. The video gives center stage to the new wave of young, exciting restaurateurs and chefs, to the stunning architecture and bustling nightlife. As many of those interviewed in the video attested to, one of the unique selling points of Belfast is that the city is ‘full of craic’. The people of Belfast also get a shout-out, thanks to the lovely dulcet tones of their accents, their friendly demeanor and their propensity towards having the craic.

The video is available on the New York Times website and on YouTube:

This isn’t the first Irish city that the New York Times has picked for the series, as Dublin was the subject of another gorgeous video a few months ago. For those planning a visit to Ireland, these videos offer the perfect jumping-off point for making the most of your time in these cities.
