7. Telling locals you are Irish irritates the s**t out of them. Try a different approach if you want a more welcoming family hails from such and such. Then they will be more willing to help you trace your roots or offer you a cup of tea. !!!!!!!!!!! ABSOLUTELY SO STOP !!! YOUR AMERICAN NOT IRISH BEST BIT OF ADVICE YOU CAN TAKE BEFORE COMING OVER HERE TO IRELAND
I actually think this article is far more realistic than most of what Irish Central puts out.
Good thoughts. And no the leprechauns don't exist, but the beauty of Ireland and its people certainly does and they are MUCH better. Oh, and I love Guinness - I have always loved it but if you've never had it starting in small doses is a great idea! :-)
Not sure what toilets you're refering to in US that you need to flush many times-mine only needs once but my friend did have a big problem in a b and b in Ireland with a toilet that did not flush easily. why generalize? EVERY toilet in Ireland is ultra modern? really?
Its all in fun Ben...dont take it too serious.
Number 1 and 10 are bull, in Dublin we hail a cab with your hand and yes we do whistle to. It is allowed. And it is NOT considered rude. Irish people have no concept of time thats bull to, The rest is just silly. Why waste your time with a thick article. Its laughable.
