...and how could they have missed The Olde Castle Bar and its Red Hugh Restaurant in Donegal. On the corner of The Diamond, across from O'Donnell Castle, both food (local seafood), atmosphere and O'Toole hospitality are the best.

Whaaat?? Does Mr. McKenna not know of the three great Ely Wine Bars/Restaurants in Dublin at Eli Place, IFSC and Grand Canal Dock or Chapter One in Parnell Square in Dublin City Centre??? Sheesh!! That's Irish iggerance fer ya!
