Hey murph46, if you are looking for music like makem make sure you go to places that have traditional music spots, Doolin, galway, in the nice small towns, it a pleasant bonus but not expected. The best thing I've found is a quiet pub, a nice pint and enjoying the the views.
presuming to depict all people in northern Ireland as inhospitable dolts is the pinnacle of ignorance. do you perhaps make the mistake of seeking out people who are like yourself?
Hey guys Northern Ireland may be part of a different country but amazingly it is in Ireland. While I only spent a few days in Northern Ireland in Nov 2010 I found the people there a decent lot. Love the lakes (loughs) in Co. Cavan also. The Co. Cavan Museum in Ballyjamesduff is worth a visit.
By the Bay, Grow up!
Big fan of the Boyne Valley, lovely memories of time spent there.
How about some pictures of the property being excessively over taxed?
when bigotry becomes unprofitable...
As an Irish -American I enjoy these articles and have compiled a new itinerary for my next trip ,keep em coming.I would love to hear music from where Tommy Makem came as I had shared several Pints with him in the US.
in terms of tourism, I've noticed a deliberate and universal promotion of a new 'no boundaries Ireland'. I am pleased to imagine business owners and their employees in the newly cleared-for-travel north welcoming visitors with courtesy and anticipation of economic gain.
