Níl ach dhá fhocal Gaeilge le feiscint san alt seo, cé go bhfuil Gaeltacht in aice leis An Daingean. Cad a thearla don teanga ghleoite álainn seo? Nach bhfuil sí fós ina teanga oifigúil den Stát agus ins tenga náisiúta na tíre uile? Tír gan teanga, tír gan anam. (A country without a tongue is a country without a soul.
Oh My, is there really any pub in Dingle that isn't....just the greatest. ~~~~ Actually, sitting with a "Guinness, or Jameson in hand" at just about any pub in Ireland....is priceless!!!
I enjoyed all the Pubs in Dingle..In fact, I really like everything in the Dingle area. This in where you are able to feel the true Irish spirit. Don't forget, there are several super Hotels right there in Dingle. P D M
Currans should be here... No food, but great atmosphere, lots of characters, close to the betting parlor...
What about Murphys Pub !!
Um...hello! What about the Dingle Pub! Great service, great food, great atmosphere! I liked it better than Lord's Baker!
You omitted The Dingle Pub...we spent 2 fun filled evenings there listening to "Dreams Of Freedom" Irish musicians The barkeeper Paul provided great spirits.
Wonderful and very helpful for planning my next Irish visit.
Been to them all. Curran's on Main Street should have been at the top of the list.
We love all these - some of the bes tmusic to be heard anywhere - and also the Conor Bar where we have enjoyed Trudy Goodman and Billy McKenna - wonderful musicians.
Curran's is great and I love Oliver in Dick Macks but I don't know if I would describe him as adorable!
A shame Curran's didn't make the grade - one of the finest there is which was in my 2008 book on 'The Irish Pub' - you can read about Curran's here: http://www.turtlebunbury.com/published/published_books/irish_pubs/irishpubs/pub_books_curran.html ... and also a bit more on Dick Mac's here, http://www.turtlebunbury.com/published/published_books/irish_pubs/irishpubs/urban/pub_books_pubs_dickmacs.html ... best wishes, Turtle
Dick Macks was the first pub we went to in Dingle. It was great. The folks were so warm and friendly. Oliver the bartender was just precious. Also we hung at Murphys alot. They were really nice. The food was really great.
