WoundedKnee - there is an Irish fable (story) wherein Ireland is called Tír na nóg - pron Teer na nogue (Land of the Youth). But you're right, Ireland is not popularly known as such.
I still have to find my grandmother's birth records to prove she was born in Ireland...THEN i will get my citizenship too ! Ireland watch out here i come !
I SO want to back to Ireland! The thing is, #1 money, and #2 lack of viable income. My mum's families were Burns and Delaney's, my dad's were Maze, Riley, and Morgan. Should I ever be able to get back, I fear I'd not want to leave!
God knows, I'm hopin'!!!!!Money's still tight here where I sit, but, by the grace of God and St. Patrick, I'll be there in Sept or Oct.
Great news, why not extend the offerings to the end of September when prices drop anyway.
"Ireland may be known as the land of youth". Really? Who said so? Ireland has NEVER been known as the Land of Youth. Where do these columnists get this garbage?
DOES THE FREE RAIL PASSES INCLUDE THE DART IN DUBLIN?
Good news, We are planning a trip to Ireland in September to celebrate 50th anniversary and will travel by rail between Limerick and Dublin.
Sounds like a good deal to me. I wish this promotion had been around 15 years ago when I WAS 66 and had two good knees.
