Great article, nice and fresh with thankfully no mention of Temple Bar, for more of the same visit www.irelands-hidden-gems.com/dublin.html.
Dr Trelawney: You are right. I realized when I googled the case that I had only remembered the descriptions of O'Riordan's personality & life style which were given by her opponent in the case, and were fully refuted at the time of the civil trial. The fact is that I know little about her, so it was wrong of me to say she personified elements of the Celtic Tiger years. IrishCentral--please delete that post by me, it was unbalanced and inaccurate.
Loved all of these except Grand Canal Dock Theater, That is a recent innovation. Should not be included with this group. I loved all these when I lived in Dublin over 50 years ago.
I can't stand The Cranberries, but, given that O'Riordan grew up in Limerick during the grim 1970s and 1980s, she can hardly be called a child of the Tiger.
I just checked. Dolores O'Riordan won that case. Her nanny had sued her for money allegedly owed, but her case was unsuccessful.
Dolores O'Riordan ? Isn't she the one who was in court for defrauding her PA? Can't remember the outcome. Very much a child of the Celtic Tiger, overpaid, undertalented, selfish and arrogant.
Who's Dolores O'Riordan ? Just the nicest person in the world you know ! ...etc....etc.
You forgot the "Stags' Head Pub, The Palace Pub, McDaid's pub, The Long Hall pub, etc, etc.
