Dublin is a great city for walking and seeing the sights. One of my all time favorite places to go is to Johnny Foxes out in the Dublin Mts.It is touristy but great fun.

hey GeorgeDillon, you ugly stinking racist, you are probably looking for Ireland's own version of the final solution.
Ireland has sent 10 times more people to other countries than it has accommodated foreigners in its own borders. So please shut your foul racist mouth! Your are the prototype odious racist tea-partier who has a problem with an educated black guy in the White House.

11 - Dublin Zoo is a MUST, in Phoenix Park - whether you have kids with you or not. Admission prices are reasonable.

I have a couple of alternatives. The National gallery is fine, but I am a big fan of the Gallery of Modern Art in Parnell Square. Instead of or in addition to St Stephens, go to Merrion Square park. Instead of "walking your way thru Dublin" stay around the Post Office and people watch. It's like being in a big international airport. You'll see Poles, filipinos, Russians, Angolans, Pakistanis, Indians, Chinese, Brazilians,Romanians etc. etc., and maybe a few (less than one in five) Irish. You'll be treated to a graphic representation of how uncontrolled immigration can tear the heart and the history out of a city and make it just one amorphous slum.

Re Item #7. The free tour seems to cost 26 Euros. Good article. Thanks
