I have two other candidates: Achill Island, Co. Mayo. Dramatic heights and sea views. Near Grace O'Malley historical sites. Has well known Famine Village site. Garnish Island, Co. Cork. Off Glengarriff, it was cultivated by its Victorian English owner as an Italianate garden site. The gardens still exist, and it is a wonderful day visit.
I think you missed two Islands-Bere Island and Dursey off the Beara peninsula
What a shame you missed the best one BERE ISLAND in west Cork. Once seen you will fall in love with it for ever.
