"and this St. Patrick's Day will be on exception"?
The Philadelphia parade will take place on Sunday, March 13 NOT 14 (which is a Monday).
Have your Guinness after writing the article.

O'Connor's Public House in Rochester, MI great pub named after the one in Doolin. They do justice to the name too as I have been to both pubs.

I think Mayor Mike has some nerve saying anything about the Irish being fond of booze on St. Patrick's Day. The nerve of him. Where could he get such an idea from. Certainly not from the local Irish media. Oops read the headlines today and as Gilda Ratner used to say.......Never mind.

I used to go to MCGovern's in Newark NJ, it was an authentic Irish bar, long before(back in the 50's) they started to build the phony theme bars. Eddie Rabbit's father played Fiddle there. McQueenies was pritty good too.

There are 364 days a year when I will enthusiastically visit an Irish bar in NYC. On March 17 I avoid the mobs, noise and jacked-up prices.
