The Boyne Valley



Trim Castle in Co. Church ruins lie atop the hill. - Andy Spearman The megalithic passage tomb at the Hill of Tara, the Mound of the Hostages, is the oldest monument of the site. Evidence of at least 200 individual cremations have been uncovered at the mound. - Andy Spearman The third passage tomb site in the Boyne Valley is Dowth, or the “Fairy Mound of Darkness." Brought back fond memories of my three week trip to Ireland a few years ago. Wonderful photos. Spent time in the Boyne Valley.
