A screening of “Singin' in the Rain” with a live performance of the orchestral score is to be held on April 27th at the National Concert Hall in Dublin as part of RTE’s “Ireland at the Movies” initiative which celebrates the influence of Ireland on Hollywood and the big screen.

Will Ferrell’s character, Buddy the Elf, has become a famous Christmas character and his movie, “Elf” is beloved by all ages. The movie tells the story of Buddy (Ferrell) who travels from the North Pole to New York City to find his birth father. Since its release in 2003 it has been a classic.
 
2.“Miracle on 34th Street”
 
This is a 1947 Christmas Classic staring our own Maureen O’Hara. The movie tells the tale of a group of people who are left wondering whether or not a department store Santa is the real deal.
