The squad unfortunately fell 2-1 in the final round of Group Play. They will now play Brazil in the quarterfinals of the competition. <br />

The Associated Press</a> reported that Lisa Dahlkvist converted a penalty and Nilla Fischer scored on a free kick. However their efforts were unsuccessful and Sweden beat the Americans for the first time in World Cup.</p>
