Writer and producer Ryan Murphy has the midas touch when it comes to scripting hot new series for television, but at least one US market is underwhelmed.

‘Glee’ creator Ryan Murphy has leaked a tantalizing shot of season four’s guest star Kate Hudson. Season four returns to FOX next month.

The British boy band One Direction - made up of Harry Styles, Zayn Malik,  Niall Horan, Liam Payne and Louis Tomlinson - have been given the honor of having their single being performed on the musical TV drama, following in the footsteps of stars such as Madonna, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga and Queen.

The Maroon 5 front man and 'The Voice' coach is in final negotiations to appear in season two of the TV thriller - about a family who move into a haunted house - where he  will play a contemporary character, who is one half of a couple called The Lovers, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Harry Shum Jr. – who plays Mike Chang – revealed the Wookie is in one of Artie Abrams' (Kevin McHale) dreams during a Christmas special episode, and he admitted the hairy space traveller's appearance was a "huge surprise" for the cast.

Damian McGinty, Derry native and ‘The Glee Project’ co-champion, is rapidly nearing the end of his promised seven-show stint on FOX’s ‘Glee.’ McGinty and viewers alike are anxious to see if the former Celtic Thunder crooner will be brought back for more episodes.

Lea Michele, Cory Monteith, Dianna Agron and Chris Colfer are among those set to graduate at the end of the third season of the musical TV show, but its creator Ryan has hinted they will be part of the "'Glee' world" in some way if they want to be.

Damian McGinty will make his first appearance in “Glee” in the fourth episode of the season three, when he will take on the role of Rory, a foreign exchange student who moves in with Brittany’s family, according to E! Online.

Just like real high school seniors must graduate, so must certain members of the Glee cast. As of now, it’s Chris Colfer, Lea Michele and Cory Monteith who have gotten the boot from showrunner Ryan Murphy.

It’s still early in 2011, but so far the Irish newcomer of the year has to be Colin O’Donoghue. The Drogheda native starred alongside Anthony Hopkins in the Exorcist-style thriller The Rite, which should be out on DVD soon. It was O’Donoghue’s film debut, and though some critics were a bit rough on the film, The Rite spent a week as the number one movie in America in January. O’Donoghue, 30, had previously starred (alongside fellow Irish thespian Jonathan Rhys Meyers) in the Showtime drama The Tudors. Prior to that, O’Donoghue had simply done theater work and television shows for Ireland’s TV network RTE. With his performance in The Rite (which also stars Irish screen veteran Ciaran Hinds), O’Donoghue certainly opened some eyes and set himself up for an interesting career. What’s next for O’Donoghue? He’s playing things coy. “I’ve got something else in the works,” he told About.com. “But I can’t talk about it.”
