#9 Notre Dame Fighting Irish (22-5, 11-4 Big East) will take on the Seton Hall Pirates (11-16, 5-10 Big East) this Saturday, February 26th at the Purcell Pavilion at the Joyce Canter at 7:00 PM ET. On Wednesday the Fighting Irish triumphed over the Providence Friars in a nail biter, 94-93.  The Pirates lost to the Marquette Eagles 73-64 on Saturday. The teams last played each other March 10th, 2010 last season as Notre Dame defeated Seton Hall 68-56.

The # 7 Notre Dame Fighting Irish (19-4, 8-3 Big East) will next play the #15 Louisville Cardinals (18-5, 7-3 Big East). The game will take place tonight at the Purcell Pavilion at the Joyce Center at 7:00 PM ET. Notre Dame bested the Rutgers Scarlett Knights 76-69 on Wednesday and The Cardinals defeated the DePaul Blue Demons last week 61-57.

#15 Notre Dame Fighting Irish (17-4, 6-3 Big East) will square off against the Blue Demons of DePaul (6-14, 0-8 Big East), Thursday February 3rd at the Allstate Arena at 9pm EST.  Notre Dame last defeated #2 Pittsburgh Panthers in a major upset, 56-51. DePaul last played the University of South Florida last night falling 61-50. This will be the first matchup of the teams this year.

The Battle of the Catholic Big East Schools Part Deux takes place this Sunday, January 16th as #11 Notre Dame Fighting Irish (14-3, 3-2 Big East) face The St. John’s Red Storm (10-5, 3-2 Big East) at “The World’s most famous arena” aka Madison Square Garden at 12:00 ET. Notre Dame last played Marquette and were upset 79- 57. St John’s fell in their last game to Syracuse 76-59.

The Big East Battle of the Catholic Schools is on. The Notre Dame Fighting Irish (13-2, 2-1 Big East), coming off an impressive win last night, 73-70, over the University of Connecticut Huskies, will next face the St. Johns Red Storm (10-3, 3-0 Big East) Saturday, January 8th at the Purcell Pavilion at the Joyce Center (where the Fighting Irish are 10-0 this year). The Johnnies last beat #13 Georgetown  Hoyas 61-58.

The Fighting Irish prevailed last night over the Chicago State Cougars 106-62 at Purcell Pavilion, in the Joyce Center. Ben Hansborough led the Irish with a game-best 22 points and career best six three-pointers.
