Purple majesty Prince pulled out of a concert last June at Croke Park 10 days before the June 16 date, and now the Irish promoters, MCD, are seeking a princely sum for their troubles – in the region of $2 million. MCD claims that Prince canceled the show on “a whim,” and therefore they lost out on insurance and had to personally refund the more than 55,000 tickets sold. Prince’s Irish legal team says that MCD’s claim is “greatly inflated.” . . .
