For decades Sardi’s bar and restaurant on West 44th Street in New York City has been the top spot where Broadway casts celebrate their opening nights while waiting for The New York Times to tell them if they’ve got a hit on their hands.

The musical “Once”, adapted to the stage by Edna Walsh and directed by John Tiffany, is based on the successful 2006 cult movie of the same name.

Oscar winner Marketa Irglova, who once dated Glen Hansard, has married an American studio engineer while visiting family in the Czech Republic.

The new musical “Once,” inspired by the 2006 Dublin-set Indie film, will now premiere off-Broadway in November, and not on Broadway as was previously announced.
