Dubin designer Rachel Kerr has come up with a unique way to celebrate this year’s Bloomsday which takes place on Sunday 16 June.

James Joyce’s grandson has publicly condemned the coin produced by the Irish government to commemorate the celebrated author – and described it as an insult.

A new €10 coin issued by Ireland’s Central Bank in order to commemorate famous Irish author James Joyce is drawing some criticism after an extra word was erroneously added to the Joyce quote.

Celebrating Bloomsday in New York City, Symphony Space and Irish Arts Center will present music and performance at Symphony Space on Saturday.

Saint Patricks Day (March 17) is to the Spring Equinox, what Leopold Bloomsday's (June 16) Day is to the Summer Solstice.
