A special congressional resolution calling for enactment of the full Good Friday agreement was put forward by Congressman Joe Crowley, Rep. Richard Neal and Rep. Peter King on the occasion of the fifteenth anniversary of the Agreement.

It's the 15th anniversary of the Good Friday Agreement in Northern Ireland, and a top-level public symposium has been announced for May 23 in New York City to reflect on the successes and challenges that lie ahead to secure lasting peace in the North. 

Sinn Féin President Gerry Adams TD has called on the British government to honor its commitments and for the Irish government to urgently re-engage in the peace process following a succession of decisions by the British government which are seriously undermining the Good Friday Agreement and political institutions.

US President Barack Obama has warned there is work still to be done as Northern Ireland celebrates the 15th anniversary of the Good Friday agreement.
