Notre Dame coach Brian Kelly, a Boston area native, has welcomed a possible 2014 game in Fenway Park against Connecticut.

Boston College will commence its 150th anniversary celebrations this weekend with a Saturday Mass at Fenway Park, home of the Red Sox.

Charles Logue, who was born in 1858, left Derry in the early 1880s to begin a new life in the United States. After being in America for a few years, he created one of the top building firms in Boston and became a major contractor in the Irish community, building the Boston College campus as well as churches and schools for the city’s Archdiocese. More famously, Charles was the man behind one of the city’s most premier construction project - Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox. Jim Logue says he’s very protective of his great grandfather’s legacy.

The O'Shea Chaplin Academy of Irish Dance championship dancers performed last week at Fenway Park as part of the park's 100-year anniversary. It was a great honor and privilege for the school to dance at America's oldest ball park. Scottish side Celtic pulled off a defeat of Portuguese side Sporting Clube de Portugal after penalties last night following a 1-1 draw at the Red Sox Fenway park stadium.

On Wednesday Fenway Park will see one of the most exciting exhibition games ever played in American soccer history when Scotland’s Celtic FC take on Portuguese Sporting Clube de Portugal at 8pm.

Tickets for a much anticipated soccer exhibition match to be played between Celtic Football Club of the Scottish Premier League and Sporting Clube de Portugal from the Portuguese Liga are not selling well, according to stadium sources.
