Derry native Damian McGinty is thrilled with the performance of his new EP on iTunes’ American charts - speaking with the Derry Journal, McGinty’s only reaction was “HOLY SH**.”

Life after ‘Glee’ has been anything but boring for Derry native Damian McGinty. The former Celtic Thunder crooner is branching out on his own and has released a single, ‘Run’ -  a cover of the popular Snow Patrol tune - on iTunes earlier this week.

Derry boy and former Celtic Thunder member Damian McGinty received the opportunity of a lifetime when he won a role on “Glee” for the third season. However, the down to earth Northern boy has confirmed that he will not return to McKinley High.
