Judge John Collins, a retired Bronx-based Supreme Court judge in New York State and  leader in the fight to change the 1965 Immigration law which essentially barred the Irish from the U.S., has called on the new generation of Ancient Order of Hibernian leaders to get involved.

At graduation ceremonies held at eight different Catholic elementary schools in the East Bronx last weekend, the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Division 3 in the Bronx awarded $2,000 in scholarship funds to young Irish Catholic men and women which will be used to reduce the cost of tuition at Catholic high schools.

America’s largest Irish organization, The Ancient Order of  Hibernians (AOH) has called on the Irish community to rally together to have Urban Outfitters remove their offensive St. Patrick’s Day line from stores and apologize to the Irish people.

  The National President of the Ancient Order of Hibernians in America (AOH), Seamus Boyle, today released a letter he sent to President Obama in anticipation of his visit to Ireland later this month.

Two divisions of the Ancient Order of Hibernians sponsored the Long Island Feis on Sunday -- the Father Francis Fitzgerald Division 8 and the Father Murphy of Boulavogue Division 9. Most feis workers and committee members were members of those divisions, or were members of other local Hibernian groups who came along to help out. It was clear from the activity at Stoneybrook that the Hibernians are strong there.
