"Susan Bryon exploring the highways and byways of Ireland"

I have written an eBook, "Where to Eat, Sleep & Play in Ireland 2012", in response to the hundreds of emails I receive daily from potential visitors asking those same questions.

With over 100,000 bed options available daily in Ireland, how is the independent visitor supposed to choose much less get it right? Sure, you can trawl through the maze of discount hotel sites or you can take the easy route and trust my advice gathered over four years of independent travel and research throughout Ireland.

Would you like to know the top ten posh places to stay in Ireland for peanuts? Thought so. Yes, the upside to the recession is that there are some truly amazing deals to had in Ireland right. I have handpicked and listed the very best of them for you in this eBook.

The lists are tight and limited to the top ten for a reason, to ensure that these establishments are at the top of their game, that you get the most bang for your buck, and the best possible experience of Ireland.

Visitors assume that we have great food in Ireland and yes we do, but it is certainly not everywhere and it can be expensive, very expensive. As anyone who follows my blog or Facebook page will know, I love and appreciate good food and I am a great champion of those restaurants, listed in my eBook that are making a serious effort at producing top class food at affordable prices daily.

Although there is already a full, and free, listing of the top ten visitor attractions on the website, within the guide I have again simplified matters by selecting the cream of the crop in terms of the top ten festivals and events this year as well as my own personal favorites that I think offer exceptional value for money and top quality experiences.

@Stevenstar, if your parents had the same mean-spirited nasty anti-American attitude that you have, it's no wonder Americans complained about staying in their B&B. Btw: Every country has their share of fattening/greasy foods, including Ireland.
I love Irish food! Keenan's in Tarmonberry has great food...as does Oscar's in Mullingar!!! Murray's in Gurteen has good, home cooked solid lunches! And Stevenstar! I don't know why you are so filled with venom towards Americans. There are good things and bad things about all countries and people. Give it a rest already!
MY PARENTS USED TO RUN A B&B ON THE IRISH SOUTH COAST AND I REMEMBER MY MUM HATED TO SEE AMERICANS COMING AS ALL THEY EVER DID WAS COMPLAIN AND MOAN ABOUT EVERYTHING ..FROM THE WEATHER TO THE HEARING TO THE BEDS BEEN UNCOMFORTABE TO GREAT AUNTY MARY WHO WAS IRISH ..THAT WAS THE 80S AND 90S THANKFULLY IRELAND NOW RELIES MOR ON EUROPEAN TOURISM MORE SO THEN AMERICANS. WHO'S FIGURES HAVE DROPPED DRAMATICALLY SINCE THE EURO..
@Bythebay, if one can't spend $10.00 in order to save a lot more than that, then maybe they shouldn't buy the ebook. $10.00 is NOTHING compared to all the other travel expenses. There are many tourists who would like to have just the kind of information Susan provides at such a LOW cost. At $10, I hardly think her book is going to make her a millionaire. Even if it did, it's none of your business. What a mean-spirited attitude you have toward someone who is just trying to improve the experience for tourists to Ireland.
I live in the Midwest and there are plenty of sections in grocery stores to buy organic foods in the U.S., including in the health food departments. There are many farmers' markets filled with fresh healthy produce, too. European-style organic, (whole wheat, rye, etc.) breads are readily available in our stores if one takes the time to look for them and to read the labels. Look in the bakery dept. That's the only kind of bread my family eats and I never have a problem finding a variety of healthy breads. We have cafes and restaurants that serve organic food, too. Don't get your information from Super Anti-American, Stevenstar. He is obviously NOT an expert on all things American.
His Royal Highness - Prince Charles, on a recent visit to Irwon's bakery in Portadown, County Armagh, Ulster/Northern Ireland, complimented them on the quality of their produce, and wonderied out loud why bakeries on the Island were so unique. Having purchased Irwin's produce in Dunnes' Stores in South Great George's Street in Dublin, I share Prince Charles' good taste. Obviously a man of discerening palate. Multiseeded and mouth watering. A meal in itself.
Food is terribly expensive in Ireland and not especially good either. The one saving grace is their variety of fabulous breads and soups. The price could be lowered if they didn’t serve such humongous portions. But all in all, we weren’t disappointed. We don’t go to Ireland for the food or for the people either. We go for the beauty of Ireland and that never changes.
YES VERY TRUE FOOD IS MORE EXPENSIVE IN IRELAND BUT THEN AGAIN ITS BETTER QUALITY FOOD.. AND NOT GENETICALLY MODIFIED OR DEEP FRIED LIKE MOST AMERICAN FOOD... IT AMAZES ME THE SUBSTANDARD FOOD BIG STORES LIKE WALMART SEEL AND THE LACK OF FRESH ORGANIC NON GM FOODS.. AKS MOST AMERICAN FOODS ARE VERY SUGARY AND SWEET YOU WILL ALSO SEE THAT MOST AMERICAN BRAND FOOD ARE NOT SOLD IN EUROPE DUE TO GM INGEEDIENTS... IF IN AMERICA YOU GO SOMEWHERE LIKE ILLINOIS AND SEE MILES UPON MILES OF THESE GM CORN FIELDS WHERE EVERYTHING IS GENETICALLY MODIFIED YOU LOOK AT THESE FIELDS THERE ARE NO BUGS OR WEEDS OR ANYTHING JUST MILES UP MILES OF THIS ALMOST PERFECT CORN... SAME WITH ALL THE MEAT IN AMERICA IS GM AND CHEAPLY PRODUCED ... WITH AMERICAN COMPANIES LIKE MC DONALDS IN IRELAND THE INGREDIENTS ARE ALL SOURCED FROM DIFFERENT NON GM SUPPLIERS IN EUROPE HENCE BEEN MORE EXPENSIVE ... I CAN TOTALLY SEE WHY AMERICANS ARE SO FAT DUE TO THE UNHEALTHY FOODS THEY EAT AND NEARLY EVERYTHING BEEN DEEP FRIED !!
Sad, so desperate for money the article is an ad to sell an ebook. Poor choice IC.
You have to be kidding when you say that visitors assume you have great food in Ireland. The only great food you have in Ireland is very epensive by American standards unless you visit and eat in the town of Swords.
