Robbie Keane was on the mark twice as the post Tony Mowbray era at Celtic began with a 3-1 win over Kilmarnock.

Plenty of names have been bandied around to replace Mowbray, with even Republic of Ireland manager Giovanni Trapattoni being linked to the post, but caretaker manager Neil Lennon did his own chances of securing the post on a full time basis no harm with this win.

Keane broke the deadlock in the 37th minute when he went past two defenders before finishing smartly with his right foot.

The Irishman scored his and Celtic’s second in the 62nd with another right foot finish and Scott Brown made it 3-0 five minutes later.

Craig Bryson scored a consolation for Kilmarnock in the 73rd minute when the result was beyond doubt.

Three more points for a Celtic side too far behind Rangers in the league, but the green and white half of Glasgow will be anxiously awaiting news of who will take over the reigns of Celtic Football Club. See more: Celtic

Give the job to Neil Lennon he'll put some steel into Celtic which is what's needed.
