The New England Patriots traded up for the second time in the first round of the 2012 NFL draft to select Dont'a Hightower at pick 25.
The Patriots gave up their 31st and 126th pick to the Denver Broncos to select the Alabama Linebacker. Hightower is one of the most versatile players to come out of the draft in recent years and led the Alabama defense to a National Championship last year. Hightower is the perfect fit in the Patriots' defense as he can play in both the 3-4 and 4-3 schemes.
