Ryder cup hero
Graeme McDowell will play on the U.S.
PGA Tour next year he has announced.
The 31-year old
US Open champion, has a home in Lake Nona in
Florida, and will compete in the lucrative FedEx Cup next season.
"There's definitely going to be more of an American influence to my schedule for the first six months," McDowell explained.
"I want to give it a go next year because it's a non-
Ryder Cup year and I would like to try to
FedEx play-offs. I'll maybe not be quite as
US-based as
Luke Donald,
Ian Poulter or
Justin Rose, maybe like a Harrington-type schedule."
McDowell had a
PGA card in 2006 but played poorly and reverted to the European tour
"I had a card in 2006 but got injured early in that season and now I want to give it a real try," he added.

I saw GMac on the Jay Leno show after his US Open victory, he impressed me as a normal likeable individual. I look forward to seeing Graeme on tnhe US tour next year.
