Padraig Harrington believes Tiger Woods blew the Masters more than Rory McIlroy

Padraig Harrington has no concerns about Rory McIlroy handling his collapse in the US Masters-- but he believes Tiger Woods may well deeply regret his back nine finish.

Harrington said that once he saw McIlroy after his bad round handle the media queries with class and style his fears disappeared.

"Rory did incredibly well afterwards," Harrington told the Irish Independent. "In a week's time, he'll have had time to reflect, but his attitude so soon after walking off the 18th green on Sunday was fantastic and augurs well for his future.

"He'll come through this. Rory has proved many times he's capable of winning these things, but I think even more so after Sunday. He'll win plenty of Majors going forward."

However, Harrington believes Tiger Woods will have more regrets than McIlroy when he looks back

"He's always going to have a great chance at Augusta and he had it again. If he looks back at this week, Tiger will see this as one that got away."

Although you can write as you wish, but here I'm not sure that your Headline matches up very well with the content of your story. Most of us are sure that Tiger may think that he could have played the back nine a little better, but maybe not quite well enough to win, because of the 4 stroke separation....... One thing that might match up with your Headline, that is more than likely true, and that is any tournament that Tiger enters and he doesn’t’ win I’m sure he thinks along with a lot of us that that’s one that he “Blew”.
Padraig should speak to his own performance at the Masters..did not make the cut,I believe. a more appropriate response is that Tiger did really well at the Masters...a great improvement over previous efforts..it was incredible how much the network CBS wanted a Tiger win... the story at this Masters,as far as I am concerned ,is the response of Rory to his collapse in final round...it is what I will remember...such a grounded response ..who knew he was capable of such maturity..it reminds us all that it is still just a game..no more..no less..
I agree with Reilleyfam. The teaser headline should have read, "Sean O'Shea believes Tiger blew the Masters, Padraig Harrington says, 'Tiger will see this as one that got away.' "
He now joins Barbara Eden and Greg Norman.
This headline does not match the substance of his quote. "one that got away" as an aside parting comment is a lot less than "TIGER BLEW THE MASTERS!" This is dishonest journalism.
harrington - can't stop with the nonesense. golf m....
