nothing wrong with showing emotion,[not to much for a man]as for saying he,s not irish?if his parents ,were his grandparents were,he is,if its a feeling for the old country,he is,to be irish and sneer at a fellow irish man and call him a plastic paddy just because his parents or grand parents were forced to emigrate douse not make him less irish,in some cases he is more irish,with a greater knowledge of his countries history,music,tradition,language than some who were born there.who incidently can show an astonishing ignorance of their own country despite having the advantage of being born there..

I wonder how long it will take the Irish (the real ones, the ones from Ireland) to criticize another Irish-American for saying he is "Irish". It is an American cultural thing that obviously doesn't translate well over there, i.e., an Italian-American is "Italian", etc. WE'RE NOT MEANT TO BE TAKEN SO LITERALLY so stop flattering yourselves!
