An inspired second half performance by Ireland saw them pull away from Italy and win by 36-6 and qualify to meet Wales in the quarter final of the World Cup next weekend.
Up 9-6 at half time Ireland finally broke open the game with a Brian O'Driscoll try early in the second half.
From then on they ran rampant and were completely dominant over an Italian side that had looked dangerous in that first half.
The other quarter final match ups are England v France, South Africa versus Australia and New Zealand and Argentina.

Cillowen, You sad person, at least we know how to party even when times are hard,we know how to forgive, and most of all we know how to feel sorry for prats like you.

will they sing Danny Boy, Athenry, or Coulter's
composition instead of the Solider's Song. One screwed up people - dysfunctional, but loved by the Queen, the one who knows how to play 'em like fiddles.

Dillon, they fly the four province flag. It's an all-Ireland team, not a Republic of Ireland team. You sound as bigoted as the East Belfast crowd! Go crawl back under your rock.

If that team is Ireland how come they never fly the Irish flag or stand for the Irish Anthem? They're frauds--I hope the decent Celts of Wales kick their dumb asses.
