Hoping that Barcelona can defeat Manchester United for the sake of the beautiful game

I'm a lifelong Manchester United fan but I hope Barcelona beats them today at Wembley in the European Cup Final.
I believe that Barcelona, with Messi et al represent the beautiful game so much better than a United team that is adequate but a long way form greatness.
Like in the world cup final with Spain I want to see the team that plays the beautiful game best win.
There is no doubt whatever that is Barcelona.
In Messi they have the best player since Maradonna, possibly the best ever.
In the seven members of the Spanish World Cup winning side they have a depth of grace and brilliance that United simply cannot match.
Not that United are a bad team, but they will be hoping to scrape a winning goal with a defensive game plan that will contrast greatly with Barcelona's sweeping end to end style.
So go Barca, and let's hope its 2-0.

When will O'Dowd get sense and fire this moron. O'Shea, you are not a true sportsman or Irishman. One never shouts against his own team, ever. Based on your thought process we all should have been shouting for England against Ireland in Euro 88 and we should have been shouting for Italy V Ireland in WC 94 based on your statement "I want to see the team that plays the beautiful game best win." Both those times the pundits would have said Italy and England play the beautiful game best. Our game under Big Jack wasn't pretty but it gave many great memories. Our current team aren't the prettiest either so I guess you'll spend a lot of time shouting against them. You are a moronic traitor! O'Dowd, get rid of this idiot.

"a long way form greatness", "no doubt whatever", does Niall have his 'writers' submit their articles from the pub?
