The Jeremy Lin hype is starting to annoy me.

Hopefully, the bubble burst with the defeat by New Orleans, the worst team in basketball last night.

Lin himself seems insufferable especially with his playing for Jesus stuff reminding everyone of Tim Tebow, the most sanctimonious athlete alive.

An athlete's religious beliefs are his own business, but when Lin decided to spray them all over the media I draw the line.

How come we never see an athlete blaming God when their team loses?

That would be refreshing; "I'd like to blame God for making me miss that free throw that cost us the game"

Or was God not a Knicks fan when when they were seven games under 500.?

If there is a guy in the sky he may have better things to do than worry about the Knicks and their temporary savior.

I'm not trying to be disrespectful, just shut the f ..up and play, Jeremy.

And let your lay ups do the talking.

If his name was Jeremy O'Brien you wouldn't be sick of the hype! If only God would strike down moronic writers when they put out a terrible article, you'd have been gone long ago. Notice I didn't use the word journalist and I believe giving you the title writer is generous!.
Give it a rest O'Shea; you should be so successful.
I haven't noticed him doing much preaching. A couple of references to God and his Savior but nothing over the top. Just remember, like Sean O'Shea's right to his views and the expression thereof, so does Jeremy Lin have the same right of free speech. If you find it offensive for some reason, all modern televisions have mute buttons.
hey guys, i agree with o'shea this has little to do with god. Or catholicism as some have mentioned. It's just a game for crying out loud ! Not a military battle. I'm tebow-ed out ! Just play your ultimate best !
Why do these jerks spray their religious fairytales across the airwaves. O'Shea got it right they never blame "GOD" when they loose and exalt him when they win.Oh!! the hypocrisy of it all.
i'm sure you would have no problem with lin or tebow if they were catholic. i don't get offended when someone makes the sign of the cross, genuflects or shows some other religious gesture. why should that offend me?
Somehow there is an unwritten rule that says having a strong religious belief is better than not having one. It makes you a more moral person, and allows you extra credits no matter your actual accomplishments. This has always applied in politics, and is now seeping into sports and other entertainment areas. Play the game, take the vote, and leave your holiness to your yourself
Hi Colkelley, I'm glad that after 53 years of atheism you've seen the light for the last 9. Best wishes, John
Why is your focus on Lin's spiritual beliefs? And why does it annoy you? Maybe you are under spiritual conviction yourself or it would not bother you what he thinks. It's under your skin for a reason, think about it.
o'shea's an a hole twit
And I bet that if he was praising Allah you would talk about his courage to publicly express his beliefs. I have been an atheist for 53 of my 62 years and I think you're being a twit about this. Grow the Hell up.
What are you, a Nets fan? STFU! Lin is not in-your-face annoying about his faith like the (untalented) Tim Tebow. And to say that "the bubble burst) when his record is 7-1 is laughable. He scored 26 points last night, fool. Granted he, and the rest of the team, were flat last night. New Orleans was fired up from the opening tip-off. Great way to get hits, though. Take off on Lin. LOL.
Your column is a complete rip- off of some comedian's routine I saw on Jay Leno. How bitter you sound over someone else's beliefs! You should ask God for some better column ideas. And Thank Him, if He truely gives you some.
let them have thier star. we have u2 and sinead and garbage and .....
let the chinese have their star.
