Catherine B. Shannon, Emerita Professor of History at Westfield State University and Eire Society member will give an illustrated lecture called "The Wreck of the Brig St. John and Its Commemoration, 1849-2012" on Sunday, September 9th, 2012, 2:00 - 4:00 pm at the Cohasset Historical Society at 106 South Main Street Cohasset MA. Admission is free and light refreshments will be served. The lecture is part of events for the 2012 Boston Irish Famine Commemoration.
