The IIIC is now offering regularly scheduled weekly Citizenship clinics which give applicants the chance to get expert advice and application assistance every Thursday afternoon, beginning at 3 pm.
Citizenship Specialist John Rattigan and Citizenship Services Volunteer Neil Hurley apply their years of experience and meticulous attention to detail to each and every application they review. It is a marvelous opportunity for anyone looking to become a citizen.
Legal Permanent Residents who are looking for help with their applications are encouraged to call and register ahead of time but drop-ins are also welcome during the clinic hours. In 1969 I was one of the withnesses who 'vouched' for a Kilkennyman who obtained citizenship, having honorably served 2 years in the U.S. Army - most of it in Germany. This veteran was one of 3 Irish natives who shared my bachelor apartment in the Bronx after being discharged from the army, including a Kerryman who served a year in Vietnam as an Irish citizen.
