The people have spoken. According to the majority votes, it looks like I will be spending my St. Patrick's Day by (drum roll, please)...

Engaging in drunken revelry in Midtown at a bar with live Irish music while drinking Guinness and wearing dressy clothes with classy hints of green.

Here are the results in high-tech pie chart form:

There were some odd suggestions thrown in (where to go: Cairo) and few people insisting on sobriety and piousness (ha!) but it seems in general that my readers want me to party. What can I do? It's all about the readers.

Stay tuned for more as I map out a plan for the day and reflect on what, exactly, it means to be Irish-American on St. Patrick's Day in 2010...

Dear Megan - I'm just dropping by to thank you for your great articles over the past year, some of which we've had differences on, some of which we've agreed on and some we've in typical Irish fashion agreed to differ on. Keep that youthful mind of yours thinking, and writing, for us all to ponder on. Have a great St. Patrick's Day. I'm sure St Patrick will smile on you on the 17th. Be safe, be good (as if!) and be thankful you are Irish. Slan go foill.
Dear RthrBHistCorr, I have AWESOME graph-reading skills! Kidding aside, the explanation for this is that the "Other" responses did outweigh the Midtown votes, but each one was different (NJ, CT, Egypt, Ireland, etc.), therefore the majority still went to Midtown. Sorry for not clarifying.
Hmmm Meghan it seems you may have some problems with Graph reading skills, "The Where should I go" graph seems to indicate very clearly that you should go to "Other" by a pretty sound margin. What were the "others" and why are you ignoring that section of the poll?
Hi Megan - Whatever happened to you "leaving it (the poll)up til March 15th"? I know we live in different time zones but I hafta now ask if we living in different 'other' worlds? If so, we'll both miss St. Patreick's Day in the real world. Ah, shure whatever... Thanks for showing the poll results as I see them... lotsa high-tech red-hot kisses. Unfortunately you're too young for me :-)
