St. Patrick's Day 2010: Prepare to party

Bookmark and Share

Well folks, it's February, and St. Valentine's Day approaches, but I'd like to turn our attention to the next hallowed saint day, that of our own dear Patrick. I'll be ruminating on this Irish holiday leading up and following March 17, but I need a game plan for the day of, and that's where you come in. This is much too serious an event to leave up to fate or my bad time management skills.

I'll leave this poll up until March 15 or so, when I'll discuss the results. You'll hear from me between now and then, not to worry. Have at it, and feel free to spread this around and get others to vote. Cheers, readers!

Thanks to the 63 people who have already answered my super awesome survey! Keep it up, people!
fuerte181: not in my part of America, not all of us are Plastic Paddys. Nothing wrong with having our fun and yet remembering who we are and why we are the way we are, they are not mutually exclusive. Maybe we need to take a note from Martin Luther King Day, where people celebrate pride in their Heritage without feeling the need to feel obligated to make idiots of themselves
@RthrBHistCorr With all due respect. St Patrick's Day has everything to do with "shamrock's and shillelaghs" to celebrate the most popular global Irish day of the year the way America celebrates.
Megan Doesn't seem like you have much of a clue what St. Patricks day is about, maybe you should check out this video on Youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z1NJr3FQO_w To paraphrase Linus "That's what St. Patrick's Day is all about Megan"
Since St. Patrick is Drambula/the chief god of voodoo cults maybe you should go to a voodoo celebration.
