| Four-year-old Delilah O’Donoghue’s earnest lecture on behavior to her two-year-old brother Gabriel |
After Lee O’Donoghue captured his four-year-old daughter chastising her two-year-old brother on his smartphone, he uploaded it to YouTube, thinking friends and family would find it amusing.
But Delilah’s lecture to her two-year-old brother Gabriel in which she tells him to ‘toughen up’ has become an internet sensation.
The 65-second clip shows Gabriel receive a scolding from his older sister for spitting on another child in the playground.
“I’ll keep remembering you being about two and I’ll tell my friends that too,” she tells Gabriel.
“You’re nearly three, you should toughen up a bit.”
She tells him: “When Mum and Dad said you don’t do that, you don’t do that... and you don’t spit.”
O'Donoghue, a company director from Balsall Common, West Midlands, said he was watching from a distance and thought it was comedy gold.
“I watched from afar until I realised he must be really getting it from her,’ Dad, Lee told the Daily Mail.
“In classic Delilah style she decides to give it to him straight.”
The clip was uploaded last Tuesday and has had over 1.4 million views in the past six days.
