A married couple from Co Kerry took home the prize of $1,400 for first place in the Paddy Power National Wife-Carrying championship.Anthony and Frances Greaney who wed nine years ago, were among the few married in the 18 couples race - as marriage is not a requirement to compete.
Anthony who was formerly a weightlifter and athlete, trained for months prior to the competition in an attempt to not repeat last year’s debacle.
