St. Patrick's Day Irish dancing flash mob takes Sydney by surprise - SEE VIDEO

Over 100 Irish Dancers including members of "Riverdance" and school children took over the beautiful Central Station in Sydney, Australia, in the name of spreading St. Patrick's cheer.
It's like comparing John McCormick with the Clancy Brothers or Flogging Molly. Innovations should bring a new twist to old style and attract a broader array of spectators to the genre and subgenres without displacing them. Too many of the festivals have become punk/rock heavy in an effort to attract a younger crowd.

Watched it again. It's great, but the music is garbage. There are countless Irish jigs & reels--why did they pick this hideous version?

What is it about Irish dancing that just seems to make people smile? I loved it. Wouldn't that be great in Grand Central station.

Very Good. I always think the Irish only become Irish when they leave Ireland. In Ireland the Irish sneer at what the call Diddley-Die music and dancing.

This absolutely fantastic! Great to watch... maybe they'll repeat it this Sunday when Sydney holds it's St Patricks' Day parade.
