A poisonous snake has been found in a box of grapes in a factory in Northern Ireland.
During a quality check at Orchard County Foods in Craigavon, Co.Armagh a worker discovered the 10-inch suspected adder.
The grapes had been imported from Spain. Once the worker notified management the Ulster Society for the Protection of Animals was alerted and they came and took the reptile to the City Reptiles shop in Belfast.
Commenting on the discovery a spokesman for Orchard County foods said: "We would normally buy a large quantity of grapes throughout Europe.
"In the pre-production checks... it was identified a small snake was in the side of a box.
"The management were contacted and in turn they contacted the USPCA to remove the unwanted guest."

The poisonous snakes go into the boxes of grapes looking for the poisonous spiders who are populous in this product, the poisonous spiders of course go in to the grapes after the poisonous flies which are also found on this grape, These grapes of course of themselves can be quite poisonous especially when converted into really bad wine.

There have been a number of cases of African migrants and "asylum seekers" seeking to smuggle dead monkeys, snakes, turtles etc. into Ireland. Ireland is wide open to epidemcis caused by this nasty bush meat.
