Phone hacking on the increase in Ireland

Ireland has witnessed a dramatic increase in the number of reported phone hacking cases.
Figures from the Commission for Communications Regulation showed there have been 21 cases of phone hacking since the beginning of 2011, which equates to the total amount for all of last year.
In many of the cases, it is understood the phone hackers illegally accessed a person’s phone network in order to make their own phone calls.
