pics on SodaheadIreland is officially on a four days weekend for Easter including Holy Thursday, Good Friday and the Easter long weekend but how many Irish will actually be going to Church.
Although information on from the Census released this year shows that 86 percent of the Irish people consider themselves Catholic a vox pop taken last year by RealCatholicTV.com showed that only 1 out of the 24 people said the attend mass regularly.
RealCatholicTV say "The decline of the Church is perhaps felt nowhere more acutely than in Ireland. Once a model of holiness and apostolic zeal, its downfall is a serious wakeup call for The Church in America and other countries."

In the video Voris talks about a "cataclysmic meltdown of the Church." And in the end he blames it on "homosexual rights." But NO ONE he interviewed mentioned gays or homosexuality. There was no connection with it in the interviews! The young people who said they go to church told him they go because their parents insist on it. They are under parental control. And the Roman Catholic Church is the Great Parental Authority, lashing them about with rules and prohibitions, as though there are not enough constraints already in their lives. The young woman who said "Only men can be priests" and Church is full of "rules and regulations" and the others who said that they just "don't believe" or "it's boring" or it was "social pressure" had something to tell Voris, but he wasn't listening. It's easier to blame the gays. He probably blames them for the economic meltdown, global warming, and the vending machine that kept his Euro and gave him nothing....

if i wasnt for the pensions the vatican gives to older priests most of them would have been gone long time ago. If he wants to talk aout gay men all he has to do is look at those closet priests who are around him every day but then again I am not too sure about him. Dont worry controling roman catholicism will be gone but spirituality, love as taught by Jesus will rise to the. the scare tactics.. Its a mortal sin if you miss sunday Mass doesnt work any more buster.

That video is an embarrassment. No wonder people kicked the dust off their feet as they walked out of church.
