Comedian Kassem G went to the beach to see what the public's opinion of Ireland was. The responses he received were both hilarious and terrifying.
Although there were the regular stereotypes like redheads and drunks there were also some very strange observations about leprechauns. One lady speaking about what they referred to as the Leprechaun Union in Ireland spoke about how leprechauns are "dusty as f*** and drive big green Cadillacs".
Others could not identify Europe let alone Ireland on the map and apparently Ireland's national flag is green, white, red and gold.
What do you think of the video? Are you insulted or is this just good fun.

I watched two videos posted here on IC today. One was brilliant and the other idiotic. One was serious in the approach the other a joke. One made people look serious in thought and response the other made people look stupid. One was classy and one was volgar. One was done in Galway, the other in LA.

Your use of the irish language stinks to, it should read Thu maíthe, for well done. Tá tú sórt sin a fear beag spiteful maíth agus nil aon rud a rá faoi dhuine ar bith.

I'm sorry, but, if I made stereotypical comments toward African-Americans, I would be considered a racist! I don't get it!

Jacksmatt: Maith thu for your efforts to learn Irish. It puts you ahead of 90% of Irish people and 99% of foreign settlers in Ireland. I suspect you're in San Francisco. I was up north, in Sonoma County, where the wine snobs live. I thought the cost of housing was high there, but then I took a trip to Ireland and saw little ugly dumps in the middle of nowhere going for more than pretty spacious homes in Sonoma.

I live in California. I've been to Ireland 4 times, the last time in 2009 to study Irish at Oideas Gael. This makes us all out like amadain. We have the best pints here in CA. George, I'll take you to my local where if you don't order a third beer they'll think your a Mormon.

Well, at least they were right about the drunk part. I've lived in California. No one drinks there. A glass of Chardonney and that's it. I'm not a heavy drinker, but they used to look at me like I was an alcoholic if I ordered a second beer.
