As we have often stated in these columns, Sarah Palin is consistently underrated by Republicans, Democrats and media alike as a possible contender for the White House.

Now with the Republican field imploding in the past few weeks, suddenly Palin is back in the limelight again.

Truth is she has never given up her ambition.

She looks at this Republican field and sees huge weaknesses, from Mitt Romney's flip flops to Newt Gingrich's womanizing to Tim Pawlenty's lack of charisma.

Sure she ceded the stage to Donald Trump's ill-fated run, but it was always clear that Trump would eventually slink away once he had milked it enough.

Now Sarah comes swanning back into the limelight and no one has a hold on the Tea Party and Conservative wing like she has.

She has now moved to Arizona, a clever move in the circumstances which places her in the heart of the Republican belt.

She is running all right and has the backing and support others can only dream of.

She would easily win Iowa with its massive evangelical base if it was voted on tomorrow.

With that under her belt she automatically becomes favorite in new Hampshire.

If she could knock Romney off there the path to the nomination is clear.

We all thought Hillary would be the first major woman candidate for president nominated by her party.

We have to adjust out bifocals folks, here comes Sarah and she is running hard.

Good for her.

What an unmitigated bunch of BS! I hope by now the author of this inflamatory and self-serving piece to democRAT interests, and the useful-idiots who call themselves 'progressives' has come to show them for what they truly are... news manipulators and lackeys of the MSM
The more she opens her mouth, the worse the GOP looks. Her comments become are more asinine as time passes. Case in point, her fictional comments about Paul Revere were plainly idiotic. She simply makes stuff up as she bumbles along.
As a Progressive, I am hoping that Palin is the GOP nominee for all the tri-cornered useful idiot Tea Baggers with their misspelled signs and back to the 1770s 'made-to-order' panaceas. If this Bible-thumping, gun-toting, "drill baby drill" slope head gets elected, we will be the laughing stock of the world. Maybe if she is elected she won't have to write debate answers on her hand, and may finally learn where Russia is located on a map; or,--more likely, someone in the White House can tell her. Ah-oh, I think that makes me an elitist. Sorry !
Much ado about nothing.............
Palin the light weight will never be president the GOP and independent voters will see to that.
Promoting darling Palin as a possible GOP candidate -- let alone president -- just proves that Republicans and other conservative enemies of the hurting middle class do not deserve to run this country anymore. This woman is a lightweight, a joke, a clown -- qualities that best sum up the Grand Old Party of nutters and knuckledraggers.
Obama is a shoe in. He lies better that the rest of the politicians. Chicago politics at its best.
Yes, keep promoting this shrill dingbat who makes George Bush sound like Einstein. No, no, she's not running. Lawrence O'Donnell says no and he had Trump sorted out perfectly. Don't waste anymore space on this vapid, vicious, vacuous vixen. I think you are a bit too sweet on Sarah, Niall O'Dowd. Good for her is what she's all about. Good for her and horrible for America. So, if you hate America you will vote for such a sorry excuse for a candidate for POTUS as this manipulative woman. Shame on you, Niall O'Dowd for even bringing her up as a legitimate candidate. To hell with this website!
Palin would be a gift for Obama. I know many Republicans who think that this imbecile is a disgrace to their party. This woman is absolutely unelectable outside the hardcore red(neck) states in the south and her home state. Run, Sarah, run and win the nomination!
I wouldn't be a bit surprised if the GOP nominated Sarah as their presidential candidate. Republican voters do tend to favor the intellectually challenged -- their last elected president, GWBush, is a perfect example. As entertaining as is would be to watch Sarah wink and blather her way through another debate, it matters not who the Repubs nominate; President Obama will be re-elected, and by a healthy margin.
To Mr. Perfect, georgie dildo. I've gotta dangling participle for ya.
Sarah would win if she ran and would make a great President. Rooboy has this one right for a change. Sarah will not run but will lead the way for the next President, Rick Perry. The destruction of obama and getting rich in the process while freeing America at the same time will be her contribution to 2012. She will be a major player in returning pride to America for decades to come.
As the late, great H.L. Mencken put it: "Nobody ever went broke underestimating the taste of the American Public." If this is the best that the Republicans can come up with, Abraham Lincoln is spinning in his grave.
She's just riding the gravy train before she fades into obscurity.
'Good for her.' Oh Niall O'Dowd you're a cute hoor. If she wins I'll stand you a pint in Dromintee.
