Rick Sanchez CNN firing due to his own stupidity, not a Jewish conspiracy

CNN anchor Rick Sanchez could not have expected that his book 'Conventional Idiocy' could serve as a description of himself after he lost his job because of anti-Semitic remarks on a radio show.

Rick, a Cuban Hispanic with an annoying bombastic style, said that Jews run CNN and many news media outlets and considers this somehow threatening to him.

He clearly freaked because Jon Stewart has been poking fun at him -- not because he is Hispanic but because his show, is quite frankly, hard to take, as he is clearly filled with his own self-importance.

The Jewish media control comment is a common one. It is one you will hear many times in my profession, that Jews control the media therefore the world.

Funny I haven't seen a Jewish president lately or Prime Minister of a major country either..

It so happens most of the doctors I have seen in recent years have been Jewish too -- and I'm not going to chalk that up to a conspiracy, rather to the fact that they seem pretty smart people.

We need to get comfortable with the true reality of stereotypes. They are stereotypes because there is some truth in the depiction.

I mean most bar owners are Irish so are many of America's greatest writers, Eugene O'Neill, William Kennedy etc. In the advertising and sales business I also notice a lot of Irish names.

It is because we have the gift of the gab and expression, it is in our DNA.

Should we be horrified by noticing that?

Of course not.

There are few Jewish basketballers players, lots of African Americans ones, there are lots of Hispanic baseball players, not so many Irish any more. Italian Americans appear to be very good at soccer

Ergo, I can state that African Americans are disproportionately good at baskeball, Hispanic Americans at baseball and Italians good at soccer.

Any my point is? Let a million stereotypes bloom because much of it is what makes America great, the competing talents that different tribes have.

Barack Obama pretty much blew up the all African Americans are dumb stereotype all by himself.

It happened to the Irish too, The Irish were once depicted as apes by cartoonist Thomas Nast.

Then John F.Kennedy became president.

Sanchez mentioned Stephen Colbert in his rant, the same Colbert who joked about his Irish great- grandfather a few weeks back when testifying on immigration.

The truth is his great-grandfather was fleeing persecution and hunger when he came to America.

Jews fled the Nazis, Blacks came in slave ships.

Together we have created, not a perfect country, but one that is certainly the envy of the world.

This is a country that does not tolerate a Rick Sanchez, blaming his downfall on Jewish prejudice, when it is clearly about him and his presenting style, not his race.

He, of course, will go to his grave denouncing the Semitic conspiracy that brought him low.

But he needs to look in the mirror at the very embodiment of the arrogant 'conventional idiot" who brought him down.

Himself.

I'm appalled that you would make such an unintelligent remark as "All blacks are dumb" to support your argument. If you believed that right through the 21st century and Obama had to educate you, you are as dumb as they come.
Let's hear Irish and Proud's rants... I am curious...what does he think of Jews...
As the political cycle goes, as power slips away from the liberals, they pull back, and then when they come out of their foxholes, their attacks become more and more duplicitous.
Same old boring tripe dennisq you are becoming mundane & pathetic. No facts, just contradictions & lies.
A lot of this "End Times" rhetoric comes from our awareness that some big political changes are coming. People no longer trust big institutions like the banks or the mega-corporations. Imagine working your whole life for General Motors only to have them tell you, Go away, we've gone broke. That would already have happened if the Obama administration hadn't jumped in - but still the right wingers squawk about "socialism." It's laughable.

We're also seeing that we can't get away with huge foreign policy blunders like the invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan. Here we are, nearing the end of these fruitless campaigns, having exhausted all the discretionary money we might have used to keep the economy afloat, and having nothing to show for all that grief and effort.

As Yeats said, Surely some Revelation is at hand . . . In this critical times do we go forwards or backwards? The Tea Partiers tell us that back in the Good Old Days people had self-reliance and character. However, that seems to be a polite way of saying that people knew their place. I have not been successful in goading manhattan into openly espousing racism, but give it time . . . just give it time . . .
Irish&proud...isn't it amazing how all the libs can do is call names, never dealing with the issues or facts, but not surprising since they are always wrong. How about Grayson out of Florida calling his opponent, taliban Dan & his submit to me ad, or his, Rebups. want you to die quickly. Two more great examples of liberal lies.
"Jew-hating rants" same old boring phrases IandP you are becoming mundane and pathetic.
It's all obama's fault.
These rants I believe make my point that Neill O'Dowd does indeed wish to fan the flames of extremist rants, but more so I believe he hopes to bait right wing extremists in to ranting hystically in the hopes of discrediting them. Irish and Proud's rant just become more and more fervant and impassioned until you get to the point that it's hard to make sense of them at all. My point is showing respect for each person's position, be that the position of CNN, Jon Stewart and Rick Sanchez. We have become a society where that does not happen any more, that is what is disturbing here.
I happen to be a Jew, although I don't identify with Judaism since I've been an atheist for over 50 years. What Sanchez said was stupid, no doubt, but the observation that was confirmed for me when he said what he said was that I remember, having seen him on TV for the first time, thinking that he didn't seem to be a very bright commentator. His latest quote only confirms this.
Oh, also, Dennis...aren't you one who thinks that 9/11 was some sort of 'inside job?' Now just show me proof of THAT, kiddo. Talk about writing comedy...
btw seanny your paranoia of the 'Jews' and their 'conspiracies' is so great (picture Hitler's trembling hands and fruitcake outbursts in his bunker, in his last days), it's apparently blinded you to the fact that I haven't even commented on that matter on this thread for some time, now (nor have you tried to actually refute a thing I said in response to you either, I've noticed). I would suggest a rest, and maybe a change of politics. Try your kid's politics. As I said, he's a hell of a lot smarter than you.
That's right, Dennis. And I provided you with evidence. Take it or leave it. And you gave probably the most immature and utterly predictable response humanly possible (exactly as I thought you would) -- just deny, deny, deny, and pretend to 'laugh' at it when you're obviously quite angry about it and cannot refute it. Now let's see any evidence YOU can provide that the RIGHT makes up falsehoods to discredit the LEFT. I would like to see you try.
Just as you're back to your Jew-HATING rants, Seanny. Maybe you should hide behind YOUR conservative kid; he's a hell of a lot smarter than you.
I asked IrishAndProud for evidence that the Left makes up falsehoods in order to discredit the Right. I love his responses; they're just great!

Racist slogans at Tea Party rallies were planted by leftists.

Global warming is a hoax.

Rush Limbaugh gets misquoted a lot.

Wow! You could write comedy, IrishAndProud. Talent like yours shouldn't go unnoticed.
