So Barack Obama has released the official long form of his birth certificate so score one for Donal Trump.

Sad isn't it that the White House had to stoop to such measures because of an incredible campaign that persuaded close to half the Republicans in the United States that their president was born in another country.

Or maybe consider it an exceedingly clever move by the White House to boost Trump and make him a viable contender for the Republican nomination.

There is no one that Obama would rather face than the thrice married, thrice company bankrupt Trump in 2012.

By revealing the birth certificate at this time they have boosted Trump in a major way and set back Trump's legitimate rivals for the nomination.

Or maybe the White House is not that smart, but I suspect there is a Machiavellian mind behind this release right now.

It makes Trump a real contender with bragging rights that he achieved what no one else could do and forced the White House to reveal the full birth certificate.

Nothing could make Democrats happier in the long run I suspect than facing Trump in 2012.

Makes sense, Obama would not want a decent republican to run against him........he needs to run against a clown...someone closer to him in style!
my conspiracy theory is that Obama did this FOR the republicans, who want Trump disappeared, in exchange for some vote, favor...or a player to be named at a later date.
Well at least we don't have to listen or read the comments that seemed to go on and on whenever Obama's name was mentioned, "where's his birth cert"
Hair head seems to be delusional, not too bright, and in bad need of a remedial English course. I doubt that he received a degree from any college including one obtained by mail order. Show me your degree hair head!
Right now, Ron Paul is the only Republican who's making any sense. Good to see he's going to have one more try for the White House.
TomS writes, "that many people cannot be that brain-dead stupid." Ha! I'd like to agree, but I find that it's a question NOT of how intelligent people are, but of how free they are to USE whatever intelligence they have. They aren't "stupid" but are "brain dead." Trump's followers are the ultimate sheep, desperate for a "leader" whom they can identify with (don't they all want to be rich, and aren't they all white?) and who will do all their "thinking" for them. 'Tis a pity they will not try thinking for themselves. They ain't gonna learn how to think by watching FOX News.
Race card whiner alert..
Trump is a blow-hard, a phoney and a buffoon. He is also a showman whose greatest and most dubious talent is self-promotion. He utterly lacks the skills, temperament and, yes, class, necessary for the top job. I don't believe for a moment that the White House wanted to give this latter-day McCarthy a presential boost. The Birther lunacy was drowning out serious debate on grave issues. As for 47% of registered republicans believing that Obama was born overseas, I don't believe that either, simply because that many people cannot be that brain-dead stupid. They can however be unalterably opposed to a black occupying the White House as president rather than house servant. To admit that, of course, would be to expose them for what they are.
antoman, it demeans any man to ask for his birth certificate,it alone a President. Imagine all the children have father unknown where fathers particulars are required, especially if he's a clergyman. Micheal Cleary's son comes to mind, good on the Irish Courts for dealing with it.
Its about time the empty suit produced his birth certificate. What took him so long?
McCain's birth certificate was not broadcast all over the internet. Obama had already produced a certificate of live birth to the media 2-3 years ago.
If this theory is right, there's nothing to look forward to in the 2012 campaign, no serious discussion of issues like jobs and re-industrialization, no debate about how to solve deficit problems, just more arrogant blustering from Trump the "carnival barker." That would be sad too.
Republicans can not cite birth documentation as an issue any more than the Obama camp can cite an intact, functional marriage as a basis for political (or THEOLOGICAL) tyranny.
Trump should stay off the 'birther' controversy as it is only a diversion from the real issues such as the spiraling cost of 'Obamacare' which also contains loopholes for abortion services. Issues and solutions to them should be central to any potential president's platform.
New horizons opening up.Anyone that was born on a ship or aircraft America bound hands up!Put your hand down Arnie. Those of you who put your hand up may be eligible to run for office.Wait..wait..where's everybody going?
